Manager - Product Development

Technology evolution, dependability and integrity are key to the ongoing success of Voltea’s business.

As Product Development Manager you will interface with the Design and Engineering team to ensure there is a Bill of Materials for the product, whether standard or special, and schematics for the particular customer application, to enable Manufacturing and Supply to source the parts and build the product. You will interact with customers to understand and define the required configuration and operational conditions. This role reports to the Global Manufacturing Director.

Functional Tasks

Product Configuration

  • Develop the right system schematic and operational conditions for the customer
  • Apply products to the specific customer installation
  • Liaise with the customer on any technical system configuration matters
  • Install all development kids and support the customer in test planning and data analysis

Product and Process Introduction

  • Liaise with Engineering to introduce new products and revisions to existing products
  • Work on new products together, to improve the design and learn how to manufacture them
  • Plan the introduction, including build training, quality testing and supply of parts
  • Control the revisions to both product and process

Applications Support

  • Support the Applications team with customer account/project management and advise on the technical system design
  • Assist Service and Project Management where necessary

Preferred Experience / Education

The following indicates specific industry, academic and functional experience/qualifications that are important to the successful achievement of the identified responsibilities and performance deliverables.

  • Ability to work within a multi-national company
  • In depth understanding of the operations and configuration of Electrodialysis (Reversal)
  • Understanding of the design and operations capacitors
  • Project management experience including leading customer interactions
  • Masters degree in Engineering preferred
  • Individuals with an appreciation of working within a start-up/early stage environment and exhibiting an entrepreneurial, customer-centric mindset will be preferred.

Compensation up to 40K euros.
